Vilakazi Street · Orlando West · Soweto
Braai classics, potjies and township favourites, plated with contemporary flair — on the only street in the world that was once home to two Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
Welcome to Vuyo's
Vuyo's began life as a small streetside vending unit, born from the story of a fictional big-dreaming entrepreneur in a beer advertisement — and grew into an upmarket restaurant and events venue on Vilakazi Street, the beating heart of Soweto's food and tourism scene.
Today Vuyo's serves modern African cuisine to locals, tourists tracing the footsteps of Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu, tour groups, and Joburg's corporate crowd — all in one stylish, fully licensed space with an upstairs balcony over the street.
